What Makes an ADU Project in Los Angeles Go Smoothly
Most ADU delays are not caused by construction. They come from what is underground or on paper: where the sewer line runs, whether the electrical service can handle a second unit, where the utility meters can go, and how the property lines are recorded.
We look at those items at the start, before you commit to a design, so the plan you approve is one that can actually be permitted and built on your lot. California law has made ADUs easier to permit, but each city and each lot still has its own requirements, and we confirm them for your property.

ADU Questions
Can you build an ADU from plans I already have?
Yes. If you already have approved or permitted plans from an architect or designer, we can provide build-only construction. If your plans are not permitted yet, we can help take them through the city.
Detached ADU or garage conversion: which is right for me?
A garage conversion reuses an existing structure and is often the simpler path. A detached ADU gives you more freedom on size and layout. We look at your lot, budget and goals and walk you through both options.
How long does an ADU take?
It depends on design, the city’s permit review and the size of the unit. We give you a realistic schedule for your specific project during the consultation and keep you updated at every stage.
Do you handle utilities and the sewer connection?
Yes. We coordinate meter spotting, electrical service upgrades, plumbing and sewer line work, including sewer clearance inspections.
